Appropriate tillage application, along with proper fertilisation, massively affects soil structure, both physical and chemical properties of the soil and, consequently, the plant's yield potential. This is because the seedling emergence and establishment and, later, the plant's development and final yield are considerably affected by the physical properties of the seed bed prepared by tilling the soil (Xue et al. 2018).
