Variation in honey yield per hive of Africanized bees depending on the introducing time of young queens

Abstract: The objective of this research was to evaluate the honey production per hive and the egg laying rates of queens produced in 2007, 2008 and 2010 (39,3±7,6kg) e na primavera (41,8±3,7kg RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a produção de mel por colmeia e as taxas de postura de ovos das rainhas produzidas nos anos de 2007, 2008 e 2010. Foram utilizadas 30 colônias iniciadas com uma rainha/colônia por estação climática, durante os três anos. A cada ano, iniciou-se em: janeiro (verão), abril (outono), ju… Show more

“…The number of the hive was written on each frame that was taken during the harvest. Before extraction, the frames were weighed and recorded as the honey yield of the experimental honeybee colonies (Genc¸and Aksoy 1993;Carbonari et al 2016) A black suede oval ball with a size of 4 Â 5 cm was used to determine the aggression tendency. The suede ball was shaken in front of the flight hole for 1 min, at the same time in the randomly selected colonies of each trial group.…”

“…After the frames were weighed and filtered, the empty frames were weighed again, and the difference was recorded as the honey yield of honeybee colonies (Genç and Aksoy 1993;Dodoloğlu 2000;Carbonari et al 2016;Cengiz and Dülger 2018).…”
