“…Mountain Celery is a plant from the apiaceae family and its phenolic and antioxidant compounds of this plant [17] have been studied by several studies like celery. Although the phytochemical content of K. odoratissima hydroalcoholic extract is not determined yet, studied on its essential oil sowed 27 main components, which represent 99.3% of the total essential oils, the main constituent of the essential oil were phthalides including 3-butylidene-4,5-dihydrophthalide (z-Ligustilide) (85.9%), cis-3butylidene phthalide (0.4%) and 3N butyl phthalide (0.3%) [18] with excellent antioxidant activity [19]. High levels of phthalide may be considered as a possible underlying mechanisms for the safety profile of this herb .…”
