Teak plantation forest is a deciduous forest that sheds its leaves during the dry season. It is generally a secondary forest that is managed in a monoculture manner so that it is homogeneous. However, when teak sheds its leaves, it that may impacts the dynamics of understory species changes due to differences in environmental factors growing in the dry and wet seasons. The study observed 90 plots carried out over a year, namely two times during the dry season and 2 times during the wet season. We placed three transects around the forest edge, each (9 transects), and plotted 1 m × 1 m plots. Data collection was carried out at distances of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 m on each transect. In each plot, the composition of the understory vegetation cover, litter cover and soil bare was observed. The research was also observed canopy openness and collected rainfall data for one year from the nearest Meteorology station. Species found were recorded for identification based on origin, life form, original habitat, and seed dispersal. The study‘s results found 57 species, 16 species only in DS, then 17 species only in WS, and 24 in both seasons. The dynamics of changes in these species are influenced by the season, which will affect the environment around the plant. Seasonal differences impact light intensity, canopy openness, leaf fall and growth, and litter thickness, which impact the understory diversity and abundance.

Forestry potential has a high contribution to export results in the Madiun Regency area. Support for forest landscapes that reach nearly 40% of their territory contributes to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The development potential that can be achieved is in the manufacture of home décor made from teak weevils. The Perhutani party chose teak weevils because they are abundant during the forest reforestation season and can be processed as one of the leading export products. Obstacles faced by SMEs include aspects of marketing, production, finance, and social relations. Some of the obstacles faced by SMEs were conducted in the form of research. The purpose of this study is to be able to overcome the problems faced by SMEs. The research method uses descriptive analysis with the help of questionnaires. The findings from the results of the study indicate that the factor of providing capital occupies the highest aspect of training needs, with a value achievement of 85%. Potensi kehutanan memiliki kontribusi tinggi dalam hasil ekspor di kawasan kabupaten Madiun. Dukungan bentangan hutan yang mencapai hampir 40 % dari wilayahnya memberikan kontribusi pada daerah terhadap Pendapatan Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB). Potensi pengembangan yang bisa dilakukan di antaranya pembuatan home decor berbahan bonggol jati. Pemilihan bonggol jati dikarenakan jumlahnya yang melimpah di saat musim reboisasi hutan oleh pihak PERHUTANI dan dapat diolah sebagai salah produk kerajinan unggulan ekspor. Kendala yang dihadapi pelaku UKM di antaranya aspek pemasaran, produksi, keuangan dan hubungan sosial. Beberapa kendala yang dihadapi UKM maka dilakukan kajian dalam bentuk penelitian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi UKM. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis diskriptif dengan bantuan kuesioner. Temuan dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa faktor pemberian modal menduduki aspek tertinggi dalam kebutuhan pelatihan dengan capaian nilai sebesar 85 %.

Ethnobotany is a science that explains the knowledge of traditional communities on the use of plants to support their lives. One of the uses of plants for traditional building materials can be seen in the Uma Lengge building which is a traditional building located in the Wawo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This building used to function as a residence for the Mbojo tribe. However, along with the development of the times, the function of the building has been transferred only as a place to store rice. This research aims to analyze the types of constituent plants and explore information about the local wisdom contained in Uma Lengge's architecture. This research type is qualitative using descriptive methods and plant anatomy approaches. Data collection is done using observations, interviews, and documentation. The selection of informants used the snowball sampling method. Based on the results of the study 7 types of plants were used as constituents for the construction of traditional Uma Lengge houses in Maria Village, teak (Tectona grandis Lf.), areca nut (Areca catechu L.), coconut (Cocos nucifera L.), banyan (Ficus benjamina L.), bamboo (Gigantochloa atter Kurz.), hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.), and ndolo (Imperata confera (J.Presl) Ohwi). The local wisdom contained in Uma Lengge architecture is still being applied by the people of Maria Village for generations which include customs, and the preservation of annual traditions or rituals that have good values to be passed down
