“…These features are suitable for the need and complex environmental condition. The main principle of traditional frequency-tunable microwave structure is that the characteristic impedance of the transmission line is continuously changed by inserted varactorsfor example and can construct parallel varactors [3], series varactors [4], or a mixture of the parallel and series varactors [5] in the transmission lines.…”

“…Recently, several new advanced designs for dual-band or multi-band application are reported not only for power divider, such as the microwave C-section to design a miniaturized dual-band rat-race coupler [1], stepped-impedance-stub branches for both dual-band operation and compactness used in different kind of hybrid coupler [8], etc. Meanwhile, there are a lot of researches about changing conventional Wilkinson power divider form to achieve dual-band applications, for example, coupled lines are employed effectively at the input [9] or output [6] of the divider, a new two-section structure [2] is proposed to solve the drawback of poor output return loss and port isolation [10] of the former structure [11], T-type transmission line dual-band technology is also introduced by using open stub [12] and short stub [3], even applied in a unequal dual-band divider design [13], and tunable operating frequency is achieved by using varactor capacitor [14], etc. Compactness is an important aspect every designer must consider as well, in previous works, two reduced-size shaped configurations [4] based on [11] are presented, and slow-wave structure is used to reduce the size [7].…”
