“…The present data for sodium chloride are in good agreement with the data of Galobardes et al [3] at 673K. The solubilities of potassium chloride are smoothly close to the three phase equilibrium points [11] of the system. The soundness of this method and the performance of the apparatus were verified.…”

“…Galobardes et al [3], Alekhin and Vakulenko [4], and Armellini and Tester [5] also reported the solubilities of sodium chloride in water vapor by dynamic method. Their solubility data are different markedly each other, but the recent data by Armellini and Tester are almost the same to the data by Galobardes et al Pitzer and co workers proposed an empirical equation of state for water + sodium chloride system and water + potassium chloride system [6][7][8][9][10][11]. Anderko and Pitzer [12] calculated the vapor-liquid equilibria for water + sodium chloride and show good representation to the experimental data.…”

“…For the pressure the expansion can be write as (Pitzer, 1986(Pitzer, , 1989(Pitzer, , 1990(Pitzer, , 1998Pitzer and Tanger, 1988;Tanger and Pitzer, 1989;Hovey et al, 1990;Pabalan and Pitzer, 1988) p T where p H 2 O (T,r) represents the pressure of pure water at T and d as derived from Wagner and Pruß (2002) fundamental The physical signifi cance of each of these parameters was discussed by Pitzer (1986Pitzer ( , 1989Pitzer ( , 1990Pitzer ( , 1998 and Tanger and Pitzer (1989). Hovey et al (1990) Pitzer (1986) was improved and used by Tanger and Pitzer (1989) to describe the pTx properties of NaCl(aq) and KCl(aq) solutions. The Pitzer-Tanger-Hovey (PTH) EOS (Hovey et al, 1990) for H 2 O + NaCl solutions is based on an expansion of pressure around the critical point of pure water (see Equation (2.47)).…”

The Pitzer-Tanger-Hovey (PTH) EOS (Hovey et al, 1990) for H 2 O + NaCl solutions is based on an expansion of pressure around the critical point of pure water (see Equation (2.47)). Only a few simple terms of the expansion were used for the H 2 O + NaCl solution, and the equation of Haar et al (1984) was used to calculate the properties of pure water.…”
