Abstract:Background:
Inflammatory Fibroid Polyp (IFP), also known as Vanek’s tumour, is a
rare mesenchymal gastrointestinal tumour, potentially causing a wide range of clinical manifestations
(even though it can be completely asymptomatic) primarily related to the location of the formation.
The available evidence suggests a fundamentally non-neoplastic behaviour of IFP.
