Vancomycin-induced thrombocytopenia in endocarditis: A case report and review of literature

Abstract: BACKGROUND Thrombocytopenia is a serious complication in the medical practice of numerous drugs. Vancomycin is frequently used for the prophylaxis and treatment of suspected or identified methicillin-resistant positive infections.
