Abstract: Vancomycin is a widely prescribed antibiotic used in the treatment of Gram-positive bacterial infections. We recently showed that this antibiotic disrupted protective anti-fungal immune responses via microbiome dysbiosis, enhancing susceptibility to invasive candidiasis.
