Abstract:Sympathetic crashing acute pulmonary edema (SCAPE) is an acute decompensated heart failure due to sympathetic overflow. SCAPE is usually triggered by acute insults with an underlying substrate such as longstanding hypertension, chronic heart failure, and valvular heart disease.
