Values of Three Different Preoperative Regimens in Comprehensive Treatment For Young Patients with Stage Ib2 Cervical Cancer

Abstract: Cervical cancer tends to occur at an early age. Treatment for cervical cancer includes surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or their combination. The 2-year survival of early cervical cancer after surgery or chemoradiothearpy reaches over 80%. Stage Ib2 cervical cancer, however, is a high-risk early stage cervical cancer with easy recurrence and metastasis. Its 5-year survival is as low as about 50%. Thus how to increase survival and decreases mortality of stage Ib2 cervical cancer is a hot spot in genealogical… Show more

“…However, lymphatic metastasis, postoperative recurrence and other toxic side effects, including secondary infection, radiation damage and malnutrition all have an adverse effect on therapeutic outcomes (14). Therefore, it is essential to investigate novel and effective prognostic indicators and therapeutic targets to improve cervical cancer therapy (15). MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a group of endogenous short noncoding RNAs consisting of ~22 nucleotides that cause the degradation of mRNA by targeting the 3' untranslated region (16,17).…”

“…The prognosis of advanced patients generally remains poor and the overall 5 y survival rate is approximately 40% after conventional treatments are used. 3 Thus, effective therapeutic strategy is urgently needed and further exploring the mechanism underlying is urgently required.…”

“…Because a well-organized, nation-wide screening system has not been established in most developing countries, cervical cancer always cannot be detected at an early stage or in a precancerous situation [2]. In fact, 70% of new cases in these countries are diagnosed at an advanced stage [3]. For patients with bulky early stage cervical cancer (BESCC), concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) has been the primary treatment [1].…”
