Elevated ET-1 concentrations are observed in hypoxia, ischemia, high levels of cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins, and glucose (Sokolov et al 2013;Davenport et al 2016) and are common in both CHF and hypothyroidism. Thus, we could explain the findings obtained, namely a significantly higher ET-1 level in patients with CHF and coexisting hypothyroidism and a positive correlation between ET-1 and TSH in these patients.…”
