Background Physical activity during leisure time is essential to promote health, owing to the decreased physical activity in mechanized working environments. The present study aimed to cross-culturally modify the Godin Shephard Leisure-Time Physical Activity Questionnaire (GSLTPAQ) into Arabic and to assess its psychometric properties. Material/Methods We conducted this study in various standardized stages. At each stage, the corrections were made by an expert committee. In the initial stage, the English version of the GSLTPAQ was translated into Arabic and then back-translated into English. In the second stage, we ensured the content validity by collecting the opinion of 10 professionals in the medical field. Finally, in the third stage, the Arabic version was applied to the Saudi population to check its test-retest reliability, face validity, internal consistency, and concurrent validity. Results For the Arabic version of the GSLTPAQ, we evaluated the content validity by involving 10 experts, and it was found to be excellent. The scale was applied to 150 office workers in the university to assess psychometric properties. The scale showed remarkable internal consistency (0.99) and high test-retest reliability (0.88). We evaluated the concurrent validity by comparing it with the Copenhagen City Heart Study Leisure Time Physical Activity Questionnaire, and it was shown to have an excellent validity of 0.86 (<0.001). Conclusions After conducting the careful process of translations, we adapted and created the Arabic version of the GSLTPAQ. It was found to have excellent content validity, test-retest reliability, internal consistency, and concurrent validity.

Background: The number of questionnaires that measures physical activity levels has increased considerably. For Brazilian population it becomes a challenge, due to the need of a rigorous translation, adaptation and testing of measurement properties. Objective: Evaluate the methodological quality and criteria of physical activity questionnaires translated to Brazilian-Portuguese. Methods: Methodological quality and quality criteria was assessed using the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments checklist. Results: Sixty-nine studies were included, the most frequent questionnaires investigated were the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (n = 16) and the Baecke Physical Activity Questionnaire (n = 12). Translation (n = 13), reliability (n = 37) and construct validity (n = 44) were the measurement properties commonly investigated. For reliability, most studies were rated as 'adequate' for methodological quality. The Intraclass Correlation Coefficient of the questionnaires ranged from 0.20 to 1.0. For construct validity, 31 analyses showed 'inadequate' methodological quality, due to poor description of the comparator instrument. High level

Background and Study Aim. Questionnaires are useful tools for assessing the level of physical activity in the general population due to their brevity, ease of understanding, and ease of application. The aim of our study is to subjectively assess the physical activity of participants using the self-report scale of the Godin–Shepard Leisure-Time Physical Activity Questionnaire. Material and Methods. The study involved 299 undergraduate and graduate students from Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania). In their academic activities, they typically engage in between 4 and 6 hours of practice. Additionally, many respondents participate in various physical activities, totalling another 4 to 8 hours of physical activity per week. The questionnaire consists of three questions regarding the level of physical activity (intense, moderate, low). It aims to collect data for the past 7 days for each physical activity lasting at least 15 minutes. Results. The intergroup analysis of the data showed statistical significance in the Wilcoxon rank-sum test for three out of six analyzed situations: graduate males versus graduate females, undergraduate males versus undergraduate females, and graduate males versus undergraduate males (p < 0.001). In the study, data concerning the level of physical activity among students were collected. Data analysis showed that over 80% (240 out of 299) of the respondents are moderately active or active. Statistically significant differences were observed only by study level and gender. While there was a notable difference of 10 points between males and females, it did not reach statistical significance. Conclusions. We can conclude that physical activity is an important aspect of students' daily routines. However, awareness programs are necessary to encourage them to remain physically active. These programs also promote the benefits of physical activity for physical, mental, and social well-being, as well as overall quality of life.
