Tuberculosis remains a health threat in Indonesia because its prevalence is relatively high; therefore, special tuberculosis control is needed. One way to control tuberculosis is to increase compliance with treatment, which can affect quality of life. The main objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of treatment compliance and the characteristics and quality of life of patients at dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang Hospital. This study used a cross-sectional, observational research method. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires filled out through direct interviews with the patients. The questionnaires used were the MARS and EQ-5D-5L questionnaires were used. The subjects in this study were outpatients with tuberculosis who were undergoing treatment at our hospital. The Drajat Prawiranegara Serang Hospital met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sequential sampling was used as a sampling technique in this study. Statistical data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and correlation. The number of respondents in this study who met the inclusion criteria was 30. As many as 80.0% of tuberculosis patients adhere to taking medication, and 83.3% of tuberculosis patients have a good quality of life. The results of statistical tests show that there is a relationship between the level of compliance of tuberculosis patients and the level of knowledge, income, attitude of health workers, and family support. In contrast, the variables of the level of education, employment, motivation, distance to health facilities, and quality of life did not have a significant relationship with the level of tuberculosis patient compliance...

Diabetic foot ulcers affect quality of life and economically burden patients and the Indonesian healthcare system. The comparative cost‐effectiveness of wound care specialists in private practices (e.g., wound clinics) and wound care nurses in national hospitals remains unknown. Thus, we used a decision tree to compare the cost and healing rates for patients after 12 weeks of wound care. Uncertainty was addressed using one‐way and probabilistic sensitivity analyses. Among 89 participants (42 in the national hospital and 47 in the private practice), no significant differences were observed between the two groups in terms of sex, age, education level, smoking status, duration of diabetes, Wagner wound classification, glycated haemoglobin levels, neuropathy status, ankle‐brachial index, baseline characteristics, quality of life, DMIST (depth, maceration, inflammation/infection, size, tissue type of the wound bed, type of wound edge, and tunneling/undermining) score, and wound location (P > 0.05). However, significant differences were observed for days from first visit/assessment until complete healing, mean quality of life (P = < 0.001), and wound size (P = 0.047). Wound care specialists in private practices had a significantly lower cost of 2,804,423.3 Indonesian rupiah compared to 6,483,493.4 Indonesian rupiah for wound care nurses in national hospitals. The incremental cost‐effectiveness ratio was ‐165,723.9. Therefore, wound care specialists in private practices are more cost‐effective for managing diabetic foot ulcers. Probability sensitivity analysis confirmed that 80–90% of the scenarios were cost‐effective. These findings may inform healthcare resource allocation in Indonesia. The COVID-19 pandemic has restricted some common activities for hypertensive patients undergoing the Chronic Disease Management Program/Program Pengelolaan Penyakit Kronis in primary health care, decreasing the quality of life. This study aimed to measure the quality of life of hypertensive patients undergoing the Chronic Disease Management Program at primary health care of Manado City, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, during the COVID-19 pandemic and determine the factors influencing hypertension such as sex, age, education, employment status, monthly income and duration of hypertension. This cross-sectional study was carried out on 150 hypertensive patients randomly sampled at primary health care from June to September 2021. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The quality of life of non-complicated hypertensive patients was higher than those with complications. The utility value and the visual analog scale of hypertensive patients with and without complications were 0.808±0.13 and 80.2±8.16 and 0.761±0.17 and 75.1±7.56, respectively. The results showed that most hypertensive patients, with or without complications, had a good quality of life.
