“…Additional research within a larger sample is needed to confirm findings. We note, however, that these findings are very similar to what has been reported for both clinical and nonclinical populations [e.g., Brasil & Correr, ; Chiu et al, ; Garin et al, ; Luciano et al, ; Moen et al, ; Üstün et al, ]. Fifth, while we did include an independent clinician rating of social functioning, future studies may also wish to include reports from partners and significant others to determine the relationship between self‐report assessment and significant other assessments.…”

“…High feasibility of the 36-item and 12-item WHODAS-II was observed, except item 4.5 "sexual activity." The high missing rate in this item has also been also reported in other studies [Chiu et al, 2014;Moen, Drageset, Eide, Klokkerud, & Gjesdal, 2017;Pösl, Cieza, & Stucki, 2007], possibly due to the same reason mentioned above. While ceiling effects were not observed in both the 36-item and 12-item WHODAS-II, floor effects were observed in mobility, self-care, and life activities domains.…”

“…The ICF specifically proposes the comprehension of functioning according to its components: health conditions, body functions and structures, activity, participation and personal and environmental factors. Functioning in activities and participation is also considered [41]. In this context, the use of the WHODAS to assess functioning among people with CKD undergoing hemodialysis may be an opportunity to study and address functioning in the same way as that proposed by the ICF.…”
