Validation of the Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool in patients with axial spondyloarthritis: Polish version adaptation and value in clinical practice

Abstract

The Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool (FiRST) is a user-friendly screening test for fibromyalgia. However, until now, a Polish language version of FiRST was not available. Our study is the first to introduce the Polish version of FiRST, demonstrating that the translation maintains strong psychometric properties. Additionally, although FiRST is frequently used in research involving patients with axial spondyloarthritis, it has not been formally validated in this group. Our research indicates that the diagnostic efficacy of FiRST in patients with axial spondyloarthropathy is limited, primarily due to its relatively low sensitivity.
