Validation of a Short Form Wisc With Clinic Children

Abstract

SUMMARY.One-hundred-and-twentyseven childrcn testcd at a child guidance clinic were given a full scale WTSC in the course oi their examination. Prorated IQs were calculated from four of the ten sub-tests (Arithmetic, Vocabulary, Picture Arrangement and Block Dcsign). Thcsc prorated IQs correlatcd +0.96 with full scale IQ and gave accurate indications of level of performance on the full scalc. This shortened version is least suited for young children and children in the IQ range 70-89.
