“…The locations of PMUs are: buses 2, 8, 11, 15, 17, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32. Considering the cost and state estimation accuracy comprehensively, the compromise solution is selected by TOPSIS. The compromise solution needs 11 PMUs, and the locations are buses 2,4,8,11,15,17,20,24,26,30,32. In order to reflect the influence of network compression on OPP, this paper uses the single variable method to compare two cases, the result of the comparison is shown in Table 1.…”

“…The main purpose of improving network measurement redundancy is to improve the accuracy of state estimation. The distribution network state estimation technology is expected to be able to monitor the operating status of the system accurately and provide reliable data for other advanced management software of the active distribution network, such as transient stability [24], voltage security visualization [25], fault location identification [26], dynamic control strategies [27] and so on. Therefore, taking state estimation accuracy instead of network measurement redundancy into the OPP problem can be more helpful to improve the observability and controllability of the distribution network.…”

“…The proposed method requires PMU at each bus of the protected network for state estimation in real time. Another method based on real‐time state estimation of the network using PMU measurements is presented in a previous study . The state estimator requires fault currents of the generator and voltage measurement at some nodes for fault location estimation.…”

“…The state estimator requires fault currents of the generator and voltage measurement at some nodes for fault location estimation. The authors of a previous study have presented another work for distribution network fault location using PMU measurements of a previous study; here, the artificial neural network (ANN)‐based pattern recognition of PMU data is used for fault location. The IED‐based fault location scheme is presented in previous studies .…”

“…The third group used high-precision measurement units. The phasor measurement unit (PMU) is one of the high precision measurement units with characteristics such as phasor measurements and synchronization of measurements [11,12]. Usman et al assumed every bus of a distribution network as a fault point and estimated a voltage through state estimation based on weighted least squares by using current values at PMUs.…”
