“…Approximately 77% of the 50–64 year old and 54% of over 64 year old participants of this study had an e-ID in their use. In contrast, among the general population, 98% of the working-age population have an e-ID, while 89% of individuals aged 55–74 and 57% of those older than 74 years possess it [ 27 , 53 ]. Unlike previous findings highlighting the importance of the e-ID for overall access to and use of health services [ 26 , 27 ], the results of this study did not show any association between having an electronic ID and the studied outcome variable.…”

Among working-age migrants, the figure is 88% [ 38 ]. There were significant differences in access to e-ID between different migrant groups.…”

“…There were significant differences in access to e-ID between different migrant groups. Whilst 98% of migrants from the EU, EFTA and Northern European countries have e-ID, only 75% of those from the Middle East and Northern Africa have it [ 38 ]. However, there are no studies examining this phenomenon among older migrants.…”
