Abstract

Objective: To evaluate efficacy of transcanal endoscopic excision with tympanoplasty as a surgical treatment for chronic myringitis and histopathology of the disease. Design:A prospective cohort study performed from July 2017 to January 2022 with a follow up period of 6 months to 5.4 years. Setting:This study was performed in a university affiliated tertiary referral center.Participants: Total thirteen patients with chronic myringitis refractory to topical treatment were enrolled. Patient's age ranged from 42 to 69 years old with a mean age of 60.2.
