Abstract:The Salish Sea supports several baleen whale species, including humpback (Megaptera novaeangliae), gray (Eschrichtius robustus) and minke whales (Balaenoptera acutorostrata). With the exception of minke whales, these species were decimated by commercial whaling in the 1900s.
