Utilizing gemstone spectral CT imaging to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of radiofrequency ablation in lung cancer

Abstract: By comparing the tumor size, water content and iodine content before and after RFA, we can visualize the morphology and metabolic states of the tumors and evaluate the therapeutic efficiency.

“…Single energy, according to the optimization of organizational structure in contrast from another point of view, shows the organizational structure of the different components better; low energy levels are beneficial to enhance the visibility of the organizations and travel is much easier to show the opposite sex, thus improving the detection of small lesions or ingredients within the organizational structure which has the different components [24].…”

“…The summary of 27 studies is listed in Table 2 [5-15, 17-22, 30, 31, 33-40]. The mean age of included studies was beyond 45.7 years, and 62.2% were males.…”

“…To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to utilize “one-stop” spectral combined perfusion scanning to demonstrate the correlation between the two imaging modalities. Although previous studies have demonstrated significant correlations between energy spectrum and perfusion parameters in liver, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers ( 21 - 23 ), the advantage of the current study was in obtaining two quantitative parameters with only one contrast injection and one scan of the patient, which reduced the amount of contrast agent and shortened the examination time ( 24 ). In addition, we employed real-time iterative reconstruction Veo algorithm to reduce radiation dose while maintaining image quality through pre- and post-processing techniques ( 25 ).…”
