Abstract:Clay soil is categorized as a poor subgrade material because it has a low soil bearing capacity. One of the parameters in terms of soil bearing capacity is the value of soil shear strength. To improve it, natural resources can be used by utilizing river sand as a substitute for clay and adding cement as a binder for clay granules with river sand.
