AbstractThe influence of the cargo weight loaded on the vehicle and the total gross mass of the vehicle on the braking characteristics is often researched from the road safety reason. However, there is not enough knowledge about the influence of weight and load distribution on the loading area of small trucks or vans on their braking characteristics. This article presents the results of measurements of braking decelerations of the van of N1 category and the braking characteristics of a vehicle loaded with different cargo mass with different cargo locations on the loading area. The impact of the longitudinal cargo position on the loading area on the load of the individual axles and thus on the braking deceleration of the vehicle was investigated. The influence of the height of the center of gravity on the dynamic axle load during braking was also determined. Method of direct vehicle deceleration measurement was used by a decelerometer. There were calculated cargo weight and cargo position influences on the dynamic axle load during braking according to the vehicle deceleration.

Basically, relocation, protection, warehousing and management of materials and products throughout the logistics chain (manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, consumption and disposal) are referred to as cargo handling. Cargo handling includes a variety of manual, semi-automated and automated devices, processes and systems supporting the manufacture and logistics, and helps with the efficient cargo flow across the logistics chain. This research study designs an approach technique (procedure) to specify a proper type of the autonomous cart as a part of handling devices for its service activities within the area of opted logistics center applying an adequate multiple-criteria analysis method. Introductory parts of the paper summarize relevant literature review regarding research topic, methods and procedures important to compile the draft technique, identify all the relevant criteria used for the given purpose as well as define variants of autonomous carts taken into consideration in order to calculate the final outcome. The most important chapter specifies the approach technique design itself including application of method to calculate the criteria weights as well as use of the multiple-criteria analysis method, specifically the Weighted-Sum Approach, in order to define the variant ranking.

The utilization rate of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is increasing in the industry today. Due to this fact, the high efficiency ratio of PMSMs has reached IE5 premium class efficiency. Therefore, the efficiency coefficient of the PMSM varies from 92% to 97%. As a result, this type of motor is replacing traditional asynchronous motor by falling into efficiency classes of IE1, IE2, IE3, and IE4, which range from 75% to 92% in the industry. Thus, the object of the research was to develop a method to determine the efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motor applications in order to identify and verify the variating parameters. In this study, an innovative and safe method of PMSM testing when the nominal parameters of the motor are unknown was presented through research. Also, the comparison of PMSM oscillograms with different types of load types and phase shift oscillograms, generated using operation amplifier, were analyzed and is scrutinized. During the design process, the PMSM was projected for the IE5 premium efficiency class. However, after production, the PMSM sometimes does not match the nameplate parameters, which are declared by the factory. As a result, during the testing procedures, the PMSM nameplate parameters did not match the projected parameters. Facing the problem of the projected and tested efficiency mismatch, the PMSM highest efficiency determination experiments were performed in a laboratory in order to prove the highest efficiency of the PMSM. The results showed different PMSM input parameters. Furthermore, the experimental results of the PMSM testing were confirmed with electrical machines theory, and simulation results were performed with electrical circuits. The theory of PMSM operating in different values of input voltage is represented in graphical abstract.
