Utility of the Photoplethysmogram in Circulatory Monitoring

Abstract: The photoplethysmogram is a noninvasive circulatory signal related to the pulsatile volume of blood in tissue and is displayed by many pulse oximeters and bedside monitors, along with the computed arterial oxygen saturation.
