Uterine Artery Embolization in the Treatment of Postpartum Hypotonic Bleeding

Abstract: Postpartum hemorrhage is a serious obstetric complication due to the threat to the life and health of a woman. One of the common causes of bleeding in the postpartum period is uterine hypotension. If conservative methods of treating hypotonic bleeding are ineffective, hemostatic compression sutures are applied to the body of the uterus, ligation/clipping of the main vessels of the uterus and (or) ligation of the internal iliac arteries.
