“…Coletado de forma adequada, este resíduo possui larga utilização na agricultura pelo fato de conter, na sua composição, em altos níveis, todos os macro e micronutrientes requeridos pelas plantas (com exceção do molibdênio) (Aragão & Ponte, 1995) e glicosídeos cianogênicos (linamarina e lotaustralina) que são acumuladas tanto nas raízes quanto nas folhas da mandioca em proporções de aproximadamente 93:7, capazes de gerar HCN (Cereda, 2003), substância que lhe confere toxicidade.
