“…A useful intervention for this purpose could include the use of a video feedback (VF) technique for supporting fathers in acquiring a greater awareness of their difficulties with respect to becoming attuned to their children during play interactions despite their perceptions of being good in caring for their child. The VF technique is already being used successfully with parents of children with ASD [ 56 ] and it could be implemented as part of a short dyadic psychotherapy involving the father and the child in a cycle of play sessions.
