Analyzing the present, it is difficult to imagine the scale of destruction of cultural heritage objects, buildings and structures of various purposes that our country has undergone. An important stage for the analysis and further reconstruction of objects of various purposes, including objects of cultural heritage, is the study of their condition. Equally important is the issue of monitoring cultural heritage objects, because according to the current legislation, their monitoring and inventory must be carried out. It is worth noting that the location of cultural heritage objects is important when choosing methods and technologies for monitoring, in particular, this article deals with the issue of monitoring in built-up areas. There are many traditional methods for monitoring and observing deformations, however, in this article, the authors made a theoretical analysis of the use of UAVs in photogrammetry, considered the main aspects of using UAVs for monitoring cultural heritage objects, and analyzed the application of this type of work in compressed conditions. The authors made conclusions regarding the relevance of the work performed by UAV-filming methods, highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of this method and divided them according to the following characteristics: social, economic, and organizational.
