Using the Schlumberger configuration resistivity geoelectric method to analyze the characteristics of slip surface at Solok

Abstract: Landslides are the frequent disaster in the wavy topography zone, such as Sungai Lasi Solok. Landslide disaster was difficult to predict. Based on these conditions, we need to do the research. The aims of the research were to find out the characteristic of landslide slip surface at Sungai Lasi Solok base on Geoelectric Data. Data were collected by Automatic Resistivity Multi-electrode using Resistivity Geoelectric Method with Schlumberger configuration. The interpretation of the Geoelectric data was used Two D… Show more

“…Resistivity values that are close to actual conditions were obtained by carrying out a least squares inversion process using IP2WIN software [19], [20]. The less square inversion method uses a mathematical approach to obtain the smallest difference from the error of the smallest resistivity value to the actual resistivity model [21].…”

“…Due to the saturation, besides an increase in pore water pressure, the weight of the weathered materials also increases, disturbing the balance of the slopes and thereby causing instability of the slope materials. [24][25][26][27][28][29] The clay-bearing rocks exhibiting low resistivity on the other hand are the least permeable and considered a waterproof layer, which is capable of acting as the probable layer for the initiation and planeof movement of the weathered materials. This acts as one of the primary factors for the cause and further development of landslides.…”

“…The geophysical methods used in this study were the gravity method of satellite imagery and the resistivity method, the Schlumberger configuration. The gravity method was used to measure rocks' density properties below the surface, which were influenced by its gravity field, while the resistivity method was used to estimate subsurface geological conditions by utilizing the nature of electric currents in rocks with the earth being used as a conductor [10]. Density and resistivity have values that vary from one material to another.…”
