Using Technology to Teach Technology

Abstract: As staff development professionals, our goal is to provide cost-effective learning opportunities that meet the objectives of the learner, the program, and the organization. The decision to use instructional technology is based on cost, time, and outcomes. This article describes one organization's use of an inexpensive and versatile software application to develop Web-based tutorials to educate and train clinical staff on a new clinical information system.
