Using statistical analysis to evaluate the water quality index in the Southern Region of the State of Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify research gaps in the use of statistics as a tool for analyzing the quality of a water resource. To achieve this objective, an applied exploratory study with a quantitative approach was carried out. The contribution of this research is a holistic view of the opportunities for further research into the subject in question. It should be noted that the points studied using statistical tools have been shown to have pollutants due to point sources of spills in the southern region of Rio de Janeiro.
