Internet of Things (IoT) using LoRa technology has been widely used in many fields. One of them is in disaster mitigation and management. This paper presents sensor nodes as part of a Flood Early Warning System using LoRa technology. The node consists of a water level sensor and a water flow meter. Water level measurements were carried out by ultrasonic sensors HY-SRF05, and the speed of water flow is measured by water flow meter YF-S201. Communication between the nodes and the gateway is done by the BsFrance Lora32u4 II v1.4 Wireless Transceiver module. Data regarding the height of the water level and speed of water flow will be measured by the sensor and sent by the LoRa device to the gateway. The gateway then forwards that data to an open-source IoT platform for analysis and visualization. Testing ultrasonic sensor readings get an accuracy of 97.06%. Waterflow sensor testing obtained 91.96% accuracy. In addition to testing the measurement accuracy, data transmission consistency is also tested against the distance between the gateway and the node. The test results show that the data can still be sent at a space between the node and the gateway below 400 m. Above 400m, the data cannot be received by the gateway anymore. Testing delay time between reading data and receiving data on the IoT platform shows the average delivery delay of 0 ms.

The purpose of this research is to design and build a wind monitoring system with LoRA (Low Range) technology. This system can observe the value of wind speed, air temperature, and humidity. All of these data must be processed in order to obtain information on the current state of the air. Existing information can be used as a reference for decision making or as a sign of a threat. In this monitoring system, the observation of air conditions uses wireless LoRa (Long Range) technology as a data transmission tool. In this experiment, two LoRa nodes are used and one Lora Gateway is used. There are two sensors used in this case, namely anemometer and BME280. Sensors contained in the LoRa node take data on wind speed, air temperature, and humidity. The LoRa node sends all the data to the LoRa Gateway. LoRa gateway connected by wifi will forward to the server (The Things Network and Firebase). The test results from this study show that the average time for sending LoRa node data to being sent to firebase is 0.25 seconds. LoRA devices with a 3 cm long antenna can communicate at a maximum distance of 400 m.

In an era characterized by severe climate change, dwindling resources, and a growing world population, the agricultural industry is facing unprecedented challenges. On the other hand, overuse of natural resources has emerged as a major concern worldwide. Greenhouses (GHs) have been developed as central environments capable of growing a diverse range of high-quality agricultural products throughout the year, regardless of external weather conditions. However, conventional GHs often impose significant costs on energy resources for their heating and cooling operations, thus presenting sustainability challenges. To address these pressing concerns, using new smart technologies as well as the integration and development of renewable energy sources, including photovoltaics (PVs), wind turbines (WT), and geothermal systems, have gained momentum. This integration not only increases the ecological footprint of GHs but also reduces their dependence on conventional energy sources. Furthermore, the adoption of smart GH technologies, characterized by advanced control and automation systems, holds significant promise in energy optimization and efficiency. Hence, this systematic review attempts to carefully examine the optimal and practical methods that include the design, fabrication, control, energy management, and operation of smart GHs. This review includes an in-depth analysis of GH structures, building materials, cooling and heating systems, new dark GH concepts, and smart lighting systems. In addition, it addresses effective strategies to curb energy consumption in smart GHs. By synthesizing and synthesizing existing research and practical experiences, this paper seeks to provide valuable insights and recommendations to facilitate the efficient and sustainable design, construction, and operation of smart GHs. Ultimately, this work aims to promote resource-efficient and environmentally conscious practices in the agricultural sector.
