Georeferenced tools have made it possible to use the information collected through e-collaboration environments in a better way. Nevertheless, no study has been found on quantifying the influence of software tools over the capacity of interpreting data of victims of some kind of felony. This paper aims to validate the technology acceptance of applications georeferencing crimes using a prototype that could be useful for certain institutions to generate public policies. A web prototype is implemented to georeference data provided by felony acts victims. The application's prototype was validated by a group of 122 college students using the Technology Acceptance Model. The results were interpreted with the help of Kendall Tau-b correlation analysis where highly significant positive correlation values were obtained.

La participación de la sociedad a través del uso de herramientas colaborativas ha permitido implementar modelos eficientes de recuperación y de gestión de información pública. Instituciones públicas y privadas han recibido retroalimentación importante de su gestión con este tipo de información. Sin embargo, no se ha encontrado ningún estudio sobre la cuantificación de la aceptación de las herramientas de software que gestionen información de delitos georreferenciados desde un enfoque colaborativo por parte del ciudadano. El objetivo de este trabajo es validar la aceptación tecnológica de aplicaciones que georreferencien delitos. Se ha implementado un prototipo web para georreferenciar los datos proporcionados por las víctimas de actos delictivos. El prototipo de la aplicación fue validado por un grupo de 122 estudiantes universitarios que fueron víctimas directa o indirectamente de algún delito, a través del Modelo de Aceptación de Tecnología. Los resultados se interpretaron con la ayuda del análisis de correlación de Kendall Tau-b donde se obtuvieron valores de correlación positiva altamente significativos.

The paper presents a web application for navigation through the university campus, which is based on Global Positioning System GPS and OpenStreetMap. The application has a multilayer structure and multi-labelling support. The proposed solution ensures better management of visual data and more efficient image processing comparing to the other known methods. With the new search system, users can place a lot of information on one layer without losing the legibility of displayed data. All the information that was displayed on the map was grouped and assigned to the appropriate categories.Therefore a map contains a lot of related information that needs to be linked to each other. The system has been divided into modules that ensure the integrity of the displayed things. Presenting so much information at the same time is managed by modules. Their main job is to provide results that is then segregated and grouped. The system presented in this paper was applied for Lodz University of Technology.
