Using faculty course assessment report for the assessment of an associate degree course in engineering technology program

Abstract: In this paper, we describe our successful experiences of using the faculty course assessment report (FCAR) for the assessment and evaluation of student performance in an associate degree course while preparing for initial ABET accreditation of electrical and electronics engineering technology (EEET) program at Hafr Al-Batin community college (HBCC). This paper describes how the FCAR was used as an effective and efficient tool for monitoring student performance in microcontroller applications course, which is o… Show more

“…In our recent preparation for ABET accreditation [1], we follow the Faculty Course Assessment Report (FCAR) process [2], which is also adopted by many other universities [3,4,5], to assess our program and courses. At the beginning of the semester, the course instructor receives clarifications and training and agrees on the FCAR completion date (2 weeks after the semester ends).…”
