Using Eclipse RCP for the contextual image viewer

Abstract: The transition of a development prototype to a product is a challenging task. There are several shortcomings of a prototype such as the difficulty of client deployment, configuration issues and memory usage. The Eclipse RCP is a platform for development that offers many advantages such as: multiplatform nature; small memory footprint usage and extensible architecture.
