The improved management of HT in the community and primary care settings should be a priority for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Improving the prevention and management of HT in primary care settings should also be a priority for developing countries. There is a need for more studies using community-based approaches that show the impact of these programmes on HT outcomes, which may motivate policymakers to invest i… Show more

“…Although co-design has been used frequently to develop health interventions for 'underserved' population groups such as people with disabilities or from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, [60][61][62] it was interesting to find that only one study involving these populations was identified in this review. Pekmezaris et al 37 included Black and Hispanic patients and disparity experts in their study to create a telemonitoring intervention for heart failure that is acceptable and feasible for use with a lower-income, Black and Hispanic patient population.…”

“…Community-based integrated services with a public health approach and collaboration of various sectors are needed to confront the risk behaviors and risk factors for NCDs in settings with limited resources [ 3 ]. Previous studies reported that community-based programs against NCDs are essential for the participation of community residents and the integrated implementation of strategies [ 4 6 ]. Community-based approaches are essential for NCDs in resource-limited settings; interventional studies to identify the effective strategies toward NCDs are urgent public health issues.…”
