Abstract
Introduction
Art creation has been found to be therapeutic to mental health consumers, making the prospect of art creation's conceivable benefits as a mental health research strategy worthy of consideration.
Aim
This systematic review aims to explore experiences of recovery among adults with a mental illness using visual art methods.
Method
Following a comprehensive database search, 14 suitable studies were identified. These involved adult participants with a formal mental health diagnosis, or who self‐identify as having a mental illness. The studies employed arts‐based methodologies with participant‐created, visual art as their data. Articles underwent data extraction and quality appraisal with the JBI‐QARI (Qualitative Assessment and Review Instrument).
Results
Results were categorised and further aggregated into two synthesised findings according to Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) guidelines. The synthesised findings are: (1) Creative artmaking enables the use of visual metaphors which can aid expression of feelings, externalisation of identity, and personal learning, and (2) Interpersonal and self‐connectedness through inclusion in community, receiving support when needed, and progressing through loss, are beneficial for mental health recovery.

Bu araştırma engelsiz gençlik kampına katılan öğretmenlerin perspektifinden fiziksel aktiviteler esnasındaki öğrenciler arasındaki akran reddi nedenlerini incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada genel tarama modeli ile desenlenmiştir. Araştırmaya, Silifke Engelsiz Gençlik Kampındaki toplam 57 öğretmenden 42’si gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Han ve ark., (2022) tarafından geliştirilen Oyun, Spor ve Fiziki Etkinlikler Dersi Akran Reddetme Ölçeği Öğretmen Formu ve araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan kişisel bilgi formu veri toplama araçları kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS 23.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistik ve normallik testi yapılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım göstermemesinden dolayı ikili karşılaştırmalarda Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada Croanbach Alpha değeri. .87 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgularda katılımcıların yaş ve meslek yılı değişkeni açısından akran reddi nedenlerinin belirlenmesinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılığa rastlanmamıştır. Ancak cinsiyet değişkeni açısından konuşma becerisi alt boyutunda erkek öğretmenlerin lehine, ailesinde engelli birey bulunma değişkenine göre ölçeğin problemli davranışlar alt boyutunda evet diyenlerin lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak araştırma kapsamında erkek öğretmenlerin ve ailesinde engelli birey bulunan öğretmenlerin açısından özel gereksinimli öğrencilerin kamptaki fiziksel aktiviteler esnasında konuşmalarındaki beceri eksikliği ve sahip oldukları problemli davranışlardan kaynaklı olarak akran reddi yaşadıkları tespit edilmiştir.
