Since the last pandemic outbreak, mobile learning platforms have been extensively utilized. This widespread adoption is facilitated by the affordability of smart devices, particularly smartphones, the high internet penetration even in remote areas, and the user-friendly nature of mobile learning platforms. Numerous courseware has been developed to ensure continuous learning beyond the confines of the classroom. However, there is currently a lack of courseware and mobile applications specifically designed to guide and provide materials for the ten Qira'at recitation style. In response, we have developed Qiraat10 as supplemental material for teaching and learning the Qira'at recitation style at UniSHAMS. This paper aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of the mobile learning platform, specifically focusing on the courseware Qiraat10. Based on the data gathered, Qiraat10 has been found to be effective in assisting users, particularly students, in learning the ten Qira'at recitation style.

Mobile applications are growing rapidly and can be employed for various purposes. Presently, they have been applied widely in education. The pace of technological advancement is incredibly fast, impacting all segments of society. One noteworthy area is the facilitation of learning to read and write the Quran, where recent technological developments have significantly simplified the process. However, these applications have certain limitations as they solely concentrate on utilizing technology without incorporating more inventive approaches to aid Quran readers in interacting with, memorizing, comprehending, and establishing connections with the topics covered in the Quran. This paper aims to systematically review and analyze current research on the Quran mobile application. The study reviewed relevant literature indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WOS), and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) databases. Consequently, three key study themes have been identified after thoroughly analyzing the “Quran mobile application”: learning and memorization, text analysis and information retrieval, and user experience and engagement. As Quran mobile applications have increased accessibility to learning the Qur’an, they frequently concentrate only on the use of technology meanwhile innovative approaches to improve engagement, memorization, comprehension, and topic connections for Quran readers remain lacking. The outcomes of this study can serve as inspiration for other researchers, providing a solid groundwork for the development and improvements in understanding the Quran.

The discourse of the digital era qiraat sab’ah study in Indonesia faces theoretical and practical problems. Theoretical problems are shown by the minimal number of qiraat sab’ah experts, while practical problems are evidenced by the low interest in learning qiraat sab’ah. The DITPD Pontren survey in 2021 explained that only 65 of 26,975 Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia teach qiraat sab’ah. The next survey from the National Statistics Agency in 2021 shows that only two universities in Indonesia teach qiraat sab’ah. This requires further investigation to solve theoretical and practical problems in qiraat sab’ah. This study aims to discuss the implications of developing Fayd al-barakat book on learning qiraat sab’ah in the digital era. This study uses qualitative methods to explore the genealogical aspects and development models of the Fayd al-barakat book in the digital era and its implications for learning qiraat sab’ah at Ponorogo. The data source was obtained from the manuscript of the qiraat sab’ah KH. Husein Ali and interviews with 1 Kiai, 5 ustadz, and 6 students. The method of tracing genealogical books and chain paths uses Rahman's hermeneutics. Data analysis uses content analysis methods through data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Display data using domain analysis. The results of this study showed that the development of the fayd al-barakat book at PPTQ al-Hasan Ponorogo produced a manuscript of the qiraat sab’ah book, while its implications for learning qiraat sab’ah were relevant to the characteristics and realities of the digital era society.
