User Association for Offloading in Heterogeneous Network Based on Matern Cluster Process

Abstract: Future mobile networks are converging toward heterogeneous multi-tier networks, where various classes of base stations (BS) are deployed based on user demand. So it is quite necessary to utilize the BSs resources rationally when BSs are sufficient. In this paper, we develop a more realistic model that fully considering the inter-tier dependence and the dependence between users and BSs, where the macro base stations (MBSs) are distributed according to a homogeneous Poisson point process (PPP) and the small base… Show more

“…In [10], a spatial downlink cellular network model with single-tier BSs deployment by considering the Poisson-Poisson cluster process to obtain a numerically computable form of coverage probability. Similarly, in another study from which association probability and the average ergodic rate are derived, a realistic BS deployment is developed by using the Matern cluster process for the small BSs (SBSs) whose parent points are located in the positions of the macro BSs (MBSs) [11]. In [12], the authors proposed approximate approaches that yield highly tractable results for the distribution of SIR in general multi-tier cellular networks.…”

“…This encourages the authors to find preferable methods to describe the HetNets aggregate interference when the transmission Base Stations are clustered. Here we suggest a 3-tier Heterogeneous Network in which the Base Stations are distributed randomly dependent on a PCP distribution based on [14], and Matern cluster processes (MCP) as [16]. In [14]- [15] the authors propose a downlink multiple tier heterogeneous cellular network with random distributed cells dependent on a Poisson cluster process.…”

“…Also, this BS differs in the bias towards admitting mobile users. Another distribution model considered in this paper is the MCP method [16]- [17]. PCP results from a nondependent homogeneous clustering method applied to a homogeneously Poisson process.…”
