Usefulness of DAO biomarker in difficult allergy. Consideration based on own typical cases

Abstract: StreSzczenieRola enzymu oksydazy diaminowej (DAO) w diagnostyce alergii i nietolerancji histaminy do niedawna była niejasna i nie przyciągała uwagi uczonych. Ostatnio liczba publikacji na ten temat stale wzrasta. W wiarygodnych próbach klinicznych stwierdzono znaczną redukcję objawów związanych z nietolerancją histaminy, dzięki doustnej suplementacji DAO (z nerek wieprzowych), a także niedawno opisano doświadczalne użycie rekombinowanej humanizowanej cząsteczki rhDAO o potencjalnie szerokim zastosowaniu terape… Show more

“…The diagnostic possibilities of IgE-mediated allergy based on component-resolved diagnosis (CRD) were discovered in recent years. Its application, together with the accumulated knowledge on allergenic proteins facilitating diagnosis, proved to be a key element in the understanding of allergic cross-reactions, hitherto not always pathogenetically understood [43]. However, little is known about the allergic proteins in spirulina.…”
