Background We evaluated the relation between ALT, AST, GGT and ALP with diabetes in the Rafsanjan Cohort Study. Materials and methods The present study is a cross-sectional research including 9991 adults participated via sampling. We used data obtained from the Rafsanjan Cohort Study (RCS), as a part of the prospective epidemiological research studies in IrAN (PERSIAN). Elevated serum levels of ALT, AST, GGT and ALP were defined according to the reference range of the laboratory in the cohort center. Serum liver enzymes levels within the normal range were categorized into quartiles, and their relationship with diabetes was evaluated by logistic regressions. Findings In present study, elevated serum levels of ALT, AST, GGT, and ALP were associated with increased odds of diabetes (adjusted ORs: 1.81, 95%CI 1.51–2.17; 1.75, 95%CI 1.32–2.32; 1.77, 95%CI 1.50–2.08; 1.60, 95%CI 1.35–1.90 respectively). Also, in subjects with normal levels of ALT, GGT and ALP, a dose–response increase was shown for diabetes. Conclusion Elevated levels of ALT, AST, GGT and ALP are related to a higher odds of diabetes. Also, increased levels of ALT, GGT and ALP even within normal range were independently related with the increased odds of diabetes. These results indicated the potential of elevated liver enzymes as biomarkers for the possible presence of diabetes.

In this article you can find about introduction to the literary periods, the contribution of written literature in literary periods, oral literature plays the role of a mother to written literature, oppositions about literary periods and a glance at its background in other languages, new theories about the naming of literary periods, how many literary periods there are in Pashto literature and what features separate them from one another and their individual characteristics of each literary period is described. The value of a topic is to find a solution to a controversial issue. I encountered difficulties and limitations during the work, the lack of books and the controversial opinion regarding it, are worth mentioning. The goal of this article is to point out the materials of controversies and the ways of the literary periods. A lot of articles have been written on this subject and we can also find ideas about it in many books, but the achievement of my work is different from previous works. Information from various books have been used in the article, as this is library-based research, descriptive and analytical methods have been used in it. Previous works and articles have been read and used, and a descriptive and analytical article has been written.

IntroductionThe variability in the distribution and number of root canals in human permanent molars makes endodontic therapy difficult if the prevalence of these patterns is not well known.ObjectiveTo synthesize scientific evidence on geographical variations in the number of root canals in permanent molars.MethodsA study conducted at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana analyzed the number of root canals in permanent molars. We searched for primary studies published in English, Spanish, or Portuguese that reported the number of canals in each tooth. We excluded clinical case studies, editorials, and studies that did not provide specific information on duct anatomy. A sensitivity analysis was performed to assess the impact of the methodological quality of the studies in the two groups. The findings were synthesized by grouping the studies by geographical region and describing the prevalence of different root canal configurations.ResultsData on permanent molars were collected from 93 studies that contributed 60402 molars studied. In Africa, the first and second upper molars commonly have three root canals (45.62% and 41.31%, respectively), similar to the first and second lower molars (59.79% and 67.55%, respectively). In America, the upper first molar most frequently has four root canals (56.66%). In Asia, it is more common to find that all molar groups have three canals (51.09%– 65.58%), except for the lower thirds, which may have two or three canals (42.88% and 57.12%). In Europe, all molars are frequently present with three canals, except for the lower third. In Oceania, the first upper molars commonly have six root canals (65%).ConclusionSignificant variations in the number of root canals in permanent molars according to geographic region were observed. Distinct patterns were observed in the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania, with varying prevalences of different root canal configurations.
