“…In a very recent study published in Europace , Danish investigators examined the prevalence of new-onset depression and anxiety following a Brugada syndrome diagnosis. 9 In that study, including 223 Brugada syndrome patients without a history of psychiatric disease, 16% of patients developed new-onset depression or anxiety after receiving a Brugada syndrome diagnosis (median follow-up 5.0 years). Moreover, a symptomatic disease presentation was significantly associated with new-onset depression or anxiety.…”
