Use of Mesalazine for the Determination of Dopamine and Its Pharmaceutical Preparations by Spectrophotometric Method

Abstract: A sensitive spectrophotometric method was used for the determination of Dopamine (DM) in a basic medium via its oxidative coupling by Mesalazine (MES), which was exploited as a reagent and Na2S2O8 as an oxidizing agent, the measurement was at a wavelength of 522 nm. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of dopamine (DM) in the pharmaceutical preparation (ampules). It was valid within a concentration range of 2.7 31.25 -1 and the linear regression was R2 = 0.9977. The important anal… Show more

“…To investigate the accuracy and precision of the proposed method, an aliquot (7 and 15 µg/mL) concentration of ALP and LSD, each concentration, was repeated three times individually (Table 4). The recovery% and error% were calculated as accuracy and the relative standard deviation as precision [20].…”

“…The suggested method's applicability for determining MZN in drugs was investigated by investigating two pharmaceuticals (Pentasa Germany and Pentasa Turkey) applied at ( 2.5 and 3.75 μg.mL -1 ) with four replicates. Table 6 shows the results of determining MZN in pharmaceutical formulations, which were compared to the standard MZN and with British Pharmacopoeia [24] standard methods using t-test and F-test [25,26]. With degrees of freedom for four levels, it was shown in Table 6.…”
