Use of hydrogen as a source of clean energy

Abstract: The increase in energy consumption is closely correlated with the continuous evolution of human society, which implies both the depletion of fossil fuels and the increase in pollution levels. One solution to these problems is to obtain electricity from renewable sources but also to use alternative fuels for car transportation. Within the paper, there are presented the necessary conditions for the design of hydrogen gas stations in accordance with the legal requirements in force regarding the protection to expl… Show more

“…Hydrogen is a renewable energy source in Indonesia with various applications, including as feedstock for chemical production, transportation fuel, and energy sources for power plants (Al-Fatesh et al, 2023;Erbach and Jensen, 2021;Grecea et al, 2021;Sampaio et al, 2022). It can be produced from organic materials such as agricultural waste through various transformation procedures (Borgogna et al, 2022;Chari et al, 2023;Li et al, 2010;Łukajtis et al, 2018;Megia et al, 2021;Ozturk and Dincer, 2021).…”

“…The transport sector tops this list and is one of the most difficult to decarbonise. Projections show that the amount of GHG reduction needed in the transportation industry between 2020 and 2030 is approximately 40 percent, 80 percent by 2050 [6]. Expecting an increase in transportation demand in the coming years, emission reductions / vehicle will should grow even more.…”
