A qualitative study was conductcd using focus group methodology to obtain thc knowledge, attitudcs, bclicfs, programmatic suggestions as well as communication strategies for HIV prevention from four specific types o f high-risk youth: incarceratedldetained youth, homelesslrunaway youth, school aged youth, and alcohol and other drug using youth (in school). Eleven focus groups were conducted. N o meaningful differences were found i n issues across the four groups; however, there were differences with regard to gender. Youth
