“…The use of an online survey for data collection could have missed some of the targeted population. However, this has been common research practice during the pandemic as a previous study has documented that the use of online evaluation platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic has increased significantly and specifically for education and research purposes [ 41 ]. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to minimize the risk of disease transmission, we preferred not to undertake any direct (in person) recruitment and to use social media platforms instead.…”

“…An example of this is the observational methodology itself (Anguera and Hernández-Mendo, 2016 ) together with its distinctive analyses such as polar coordinates analysis (Vázquez-Diz et al, 2019 ; Morales-Sánchez et al, 2020 ) and also data mining (Pastrana et al, 2019 ). These techniques have shown to be very useful in sport psychology to explore several variables usually studied in this field of knowledge, getting useful information on how scores are distributed and groups are classified (Pastrana et al, 2019 ; Vázquez-Diz et al, 2019 ; Reigal et al, 2020 ), and studying the relationships established between the behaviors that occur (Nunes et al, 2016 ; Morillo-Baro et al, 2020 ).…”
