Use of control charts for multi-temporal analysis of geodetic auscultation data from dams

Abstract: Geodesic auscultation can be used to monitor the movement of dam structures by measuring the distance, at different epochs from fixed positions (pillars) to other positions (targets). It is important to identify the targets that present atypical measurements to permit managers to take corrective actions. After fitting a model using the Least Squares Method (LSM), the residuals normally display random behavior. Multivariate control charts are then applied to the residuals of the fitted model from data taken of … Show more

“…Outros trabalhos analisam resultantes posicionais (horizontais ou tridimensionais), porém, desconsiderando as covariâncias entre as coordenadas dos pontos monitorados (LENARTOVICZ et al, 2014;ZONTA et al, 2014;FERREIRA;CHAVES, 2017;GONÇALVES;SAMPAIO et al, 2019;MEDEIROS et al, 2020;ALVES et al, 2020). Por fim, outros estudos realizam a análise do deslocamento resultante, considerando ainda as covariâncias entre as coordenadas dos pontos monitorados (AGUIRRE; GEMAEL, 2001;QUINTANILHA et al, 2013;CALDAS;SEGANTINE, 2014).…”
