Abstract:Peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia is a congenital structural anomaly that results in a communication between the pericardial sac and the peritoneal cavity. About 50% of cats are asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, and the remaining animals may show respiratory (dyspnoea, tachypnoea, exercise intolerance), gastrointestinal, cardiac tamponade or non‐specific clinical signs.
