Abstract: If organizations want to be successful, they must quickly adapt to changing conditions in a competitive environment, must be flexible and must quickly resolve situations and problems occurring in organization. We use different tools and methods to solve these problems. One of these methods is Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D). The 8D method is a structured problem solving process. “…Previous studies have shown that both 8D (Riesenberger & Sousa, 2010;Kaplík et al, 2013) and Six Sigma (Swarnakar, Vinodh & Antony, 2016;Ghosh & Rao, 1996) were highly effective in identifying the root cause of the problem and developing a permanent corrective action accordingly. Generally, 8D is used for less complex problems with quick response time, and Six Sigma -for more complex issues.…”

“…To address these issues, manufacturers must improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their solutions and production processes through quality assurance efforts using the Lean Six Sigma framework based on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) process and the PDCA cycle of the ISO 9001:2015 and the Lean 8D method [6][7][8][9][10]. The 8D methodology, also known as the Ford TOPS 8D, was first developed and implemented by Ford Motor in the 1980s Click or tap here to enter text.and has been widely adopted in the automotive industry for problem-solving [11][12][13]. It is still used by many companies.…”

“…Manufacturing companies operating in the present conditions are forced to constantly improve their production processes and ensure the quality level of products in line with customer expectations. Many methods and quality management tools are used to carry out the cause-and-effect analysis, including: Ishikawa diagram (more on Ishikawa diagram see [13,14,18]), 8D method (more on 8D method see [12,22,23]) or FMEA analysis.…”
